If it is not currently listed above as needed or has a need of zero, it means they have received all they need this quarter. We update information with them every 3 months, and they may need these items again. Please do not send them anything they do not currently show as needed. 

 

 

1) Patriotic Lapghans for Veterans🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 -Our goal is that every Veteran entering Hospice receives a patriotic quilt

• Red, white and blue fabric ~ Patriotic colors, Army/Navy/Marines/Air Force fabric. Patriotic panels. 

• Please no glitter or sparkles in your fabric. 

• Sewn Quilts Only.

• As of 3/12/24 They are not taking knit and crochet. They may resuming taking these later. Check Nashville Launch Pad for current need or hold on to it.

• Approximate Lapghan size 36"x48" to 45"x60"; perfect for folks resting in bed or sitting in a chair.

• All styles such as Quilts, rag quilts, fleece/flannel/cotton blankets as long as they are special and will make an impact for the family. 

 

Want free fabric? Thanks to a generous Grant from Hearts For Hospice we have supplies available for this project. To receive fabric from this grant, a donation history with us is required, so please ensure you have made and tallied donations in some other way prior to your request.

2) Quilts (Lapghans)- (Sewn) 

• Fabrics for any patient to offer comfort in Hospice. These will be used during care and placed over them for walk-out then presented to the family to take home. ​

• A variety of fabrics for all genders and interests are appreciated. Nurses pick out just the right quilt for the right patient. 

• Sewn Quilts Only.

3) Twiddle Muffs -knit/crochet Twiddle muffs are wonderful at providing a comforting sensory experience. Patients will redirect their fidgeting to the muff.

4) Wheelchair Warmer Blanket -  Made from fleece and quilting cotton blanket with a kangaroo pocket has cut outs at the bottom to prevent it from getting caught in the wheels. These can be made in any colors you like. They do not need to be Patriotic (but can be if you want). These will be offered to all patients in Hospice and Palliative care. 

 

5) Dignity Covers & Scarves - These are worn so patients can eat and keep their clothes clean yet not feel as if they are wearing a bib. 

• 2 patterns has been requested: Dignity Scarf and Dignity Cover from Upcycled Shirt (flannel or otherwise)

• For all genders.

6) Wheelchair Shawl - This easy to knit or crochet shawl helps take the chill off of someone as they sit in a wheelchair. It is perfectly shaped to stay on the shoulders.
